1971 Constructors Champion with Jackie Stewart.

Old school innovator Ken Tyrrell started in motor sport in 1958 running F3 and F2 cars before moving to F1 ten years later. He won three drivers championships with Jackie Stewart in the 70s. Francois Cevert was killed driving a Tyrrell at Watkins Glen in '73 ... which pushed Stewart to retire from the sport at the end of the year having secured the drivers title. Tyrrell was never a championship winning team again but he remained a stalwart of the paddock until he sold the team to BAR in 1998. He died aged 77 in August 2001.
